Job Title: Electrical Technician
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical plant, machinery, appliances, and equipment. The role ensures the reliable operation and performance of factories, power stations, and other industrial electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical appliances and machinery in factories, water pumps, and other industrial sites as per jobs raised to the Electrical Section.
- Raise materials or spares for jobs in line with approved estimates and budgets.
- Observe health, safety, and environment procedures and requirements at all work sites.
- Close out all hazards raised to the Electrical Section, particularly those related to industrial installations.
- Carry out electrical projects and installations, ensuring compliance with electrical standards and regulations.
- Participate in annual electrical inspections of factories and portable electrical machines, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance at Black Tea Factories and power stations during shutdown periods.
- Carry out domestic installations in offices and residential houses as assigned.
- Respond to electrical breakdowns within stipulated timelines.
- Adhere to the HACCP plan and other plant regulations while performing duties.
- Observe full compliance with health and safety systems, policies, reporting, and procedures in the workplace.
- Support company and departmental initiatives and ongoing projects.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical principles and operations.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good organizing and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Must be a team player.
