The company is dedicated to supporting car culture through insurance, auctions, events, media, and marketplace services that connect buyers and sellers of classic and modern collectible vehicles.
They are currently hiring a Valuation Coordinator for Hagerty Marketplace. In this role, you will evaluate incoming vehicle submissions, analyze market data, determine valuation recommendations, and help set appropriate auction reserves. Your assessments directly influence listing quality, pricing accuracy, and overall marketplace success.
This position requires strong automotive market knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate clearly with sellers while supporting fair and data-driven valuation decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and evaluate incoming vehicle submissions on a daily basis
• Research market values using platforms such as Classic.com, Hagerty Valuation Tool, KBB, and Bring a Trailer
• Identify comparable sales and analyze pricing trends
• Recommend auction reserves based on condition, demand, and market data
• Decline vehicles that do not meet platform standards
• Communicate valuation recommendations to sellers via email and CRM tools
• Negotiate reserve pricing with sellers using market evidence
• Maintain accurate records in internal tracking and CRM systems
• Coordinate with internal teams for approved listings and documentation
• Escalate high-value or complex listings when required
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of collector vehicles and automotive valuation markets
• Experience using valuation platforms such as Classic.com, Hagerty Valuation Tool, Bring a Trailer, or KBB
• Excellent written communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
• Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and spreadsheet tools
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience in automotive appraisal, auction curation, or related field preferred
• Familiarity with vehicle titles, documentation, and provenance research
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
