Description:
A contracting company based in Abu Dhabi is urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong background in MEP contracting and hands-on experience in UAE accounting practices.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations, and supporting financial reporting activities. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle daily accounting operations including data entry and financial record maintenance.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare invoices, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations.
• Support project accounting and cost control activities.
• Generate financial reports for management review.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience in Abu Dhabi.
• Prior experience in MEP contracting companies is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of:
• Accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Invoicing and reconciliation procedures.
• Financial reporting and statement preparation.
• Data entry and accounting documentation.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Attested educational certificates will be an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in project accounting and cost control in construction/MEP.
