Description:

Rockway Equipment Trading LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to contribute to the company’s financial operations while gaining valuable industry experience in a dynamic business environment.

The successful candidate will support daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and assist with financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure smooth and compliant financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports

• Maintain, organize, and update accounting records and financial files

• Process invoices, payments, and employee expense reports accurately

• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain financial data and supporting documentation

• Help maintain accurate and timely financial records

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Good communication and teamwork abilities

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong knowledge of:

• Microsoft Excel

• Accounting principles and practices

• Financial reporting procedures

• Accounts payable and receivable processes

• Bank reconciliation procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of ERP systems

• Experience working with VAT regulations and compliance requirements

• Previous experience in the piling or construction industry is preferred

• Familiarity with finance and accounting software platforms
