Role Overview

We are seeking a highly artistic, detail-oriented Fashion Designer to anchor our apparel concepts and production studio. Your primary objective is to translate modern market trends and unique customer preferences into high-quality, wearable garment collections. This position bridges creative illustration with hands-on technical manufacturing supervision; you will guide pieces from initial sketch concepts and material selection through to final tailoring and quality control audits. The role calls for an expressive designer who possesses deep knowledge of garment construction and can seamlessly consult walk-in clients on personalized styling choices.

Areas of Accountability

Concept Development & Technical Illustration

• Formulate original apparel designs, seasonal collections, and precise technical sketches that reflect shifting consumer demands.

• Translate individual customer measurements and styling briefs into feasible, high-fashion clothing concepts.

• Utilize specialized digital design software and illustration tools to create, edit, and archive pattern blueprints.

Production Supervision & Tailoring Collaboration

• Work in close coordination with the tailoring team to clarify design specifications and guarantee exact garment replication.

• Supervise the end-to-end production pipeline, managing design workflows to meet strict customer pickup deadlines.

• Enforce rigorous quality control inspections throughout the cutting and sewing cycles to eliminate material defects.

Material Tracking & Inventory Control

• Monitor fabric storage units, haberdashery supplies, and finished apparel stock levels to prevent production bottlenecks.

• Source and evaluate trending textiles, trimming materials, and structural elements needed for upcoming orders.

• Maintain clean, organized studio records tracking fabric consumption versus final production outputs.

Client Image Consulting & Styling Service

• Intercept showroom clients to provide professional image consulting, fit recommendations, and fabric coordination advice.

• Upsell premium studio design concepts by delivering exceptional customer service during design fittings.

• Stay continuously updated on global fashion movements, local tailoring techniques, and emerging material innovations.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

• Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or a closely related creative discipline.

• Proven Track Record: Practical experience operating within a busy fashion studio, garment factory, or commercial design house.

• Technical Mastery: Excellent manual sketching abilities paired with functional proficiency in modern digital fashion design programs.

Preferred Capabilities

• Structural Insight: Deep working knowledge of textiles, material drape characteristics, and complex garment construction methods.

• Operational Precision: Meticulous attention to detail regarding structural seams, embroidery placements, and pattern alignments.

• Project Management: Strong time-management skills with the ability to lead tailors and manage multiple custom orders simultaneously.

• Interpersonal Agility: Warm, communicative, and persuasive personality suited for high-touch customer styling interactions.
