Description:
Dar Barakat Building Contracting L.L.C is seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer to join its growing team in Dubai. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in building and construction projects who are looking to advance their careers within a dynamic contracting environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting construction activities, overseeing site operations, preparing quantity takeoffs, and ensuring projects are executed according to specifications and timelines. The role requires strong technical knowledge, site coordination skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple project locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise construction site activities and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and assist with project planning and execution.
• Monitor project progress and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and site teams.
• Review technical drawings and construction documents.
• Ensure quality standards, safety regulations, and project requirements are maintained.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and project updates as required.
• Travel between project sites to oversee operations and provide engineering support.
• Assist in resolving technical and construction-related challenges.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in building and construction projects.
• Must currently be residing in the United Arab Emirates.
• Experience in quantity takeoff and site supervision.
• Good command of the English language.
• Arabic language skills will be considered an advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Ability to travel between project locations when required.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Building construction methods and site management
• Quantity surveying and quantity takeoff procedures
• AutoCAD and engineering drawing interpretation
• Primavera project scheduling software (preferred)
