Description:
Gateway Advertising is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong accounting expertise and a solid understanding of financial operations, taxation, and reporting requirements within the UAE business environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete accounting cycle, preparing financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the company’s financial performance. Candidates with experience in the Events and Exhibitions industry will have an added advantage. Immediate joiners or professionals serving a short notice period are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations and oversee the complete accounting cycle.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Supervise payroll processing and coordinate Wage Protection System (WPS) requirements.
• Handle accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and collection activities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax requirements, including timely filings.
• Monitor company expenditures and evaluate project costing and profitability.
• Maintain financial records and support management with financial analysis and reporting.
• Assist in improving accounting procedures and internal financial controls.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CMA or ACCA will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on accounting experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience within the Events and Exhibitions sector is preferred.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Experience using accounting software such as TallyPrime or similar financial systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within strict deadlines.
• Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.
