Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, target, and acquire clients across FMCG, financial institutions, government agencies, NGOs, PR & marketing agencies, and manufacturing sectors.  
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to secure high-value research engagements.  
  • Drive revenue growth by converting pipeline opportunities into closed deals.  

Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management

  • Formulate and implement business development strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Sustain a strong sales pipeline, delivering consistent updates on prospects, opportunities, and closed deals.
  • Perform comprehensive market research to uncover emerging trends, assess client needs, and gather competitive insights.

Proposal Development & Negotiation

  • Direct the development of persuasive proposals and impactful presentations, meticulously customized to align with specific client needs and objectives.  
  • Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreement terms, strategically balancing the pursuit of maximum profitability with the delivery of exceptional client satisfaction.  

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with internal teams, including research, operations, and analytics, to deliver projects on time and with high quality. Regularly prepare reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within market research, consulting, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of acquiring and managing high-value clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and market research abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tracking systems is a plus.
Salary: Kshs. 60,000 - Kshs. 80,000
