Having been established in 1958, “The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya” is one of the oldest and most effective organizations for persons with disabilities in Kenya.
Since it’s inception, APDK has assisted and rehabilitated over 600,000 persons with disabilities through a network of 10 branches and comprehensive programmers ranging from medical rehabilitation, therapeutic services, community based rehabilitation, educational programmers, vocational training, employment, self employment through micro financing and provision of appliances and mobility aids.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) is seeking a highly experienced, dynamic and results-driven leader who has a track record of successfully managing operations and driving growth. The Branch Manager will lead our Nairobi office as the head of the branch. (S)he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of its operations, from sales and distribution to customer service and human resources. This is a key leadership role where efforts will directly contribute to our mission of improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Operations: Direct all operational aspects of the Nairobi branch, ensuring efficiency in distribution, service delivery, and sales.
- Strategic Planning: Assess local market conditions, identify new opportunities, and develop strategic business plans to drive growth and meet national office goals.
- Financial Management: Create and manage the branch budget, allocating funds appropriately to maximize impact and productivity.
- Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership, coaching, and motivation to the branch team, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance in collaboration with the HR department
- Networking & Public Relations: Enhance the branch’s reputation by networking with local stakeholders, ensuring high ethical standards, and complying with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to address challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a branch management role or a similar leadership position
- Strong knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales and production targets
- Familiarity with the rules and regulations governing the industry, particularly those related to persons with disabilities (PWDs)
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- A results-driven and customer-focused mindset
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- A Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Services is a significant advantage.
