Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Security Rider - Alarm Response to join our security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients by responding promptly to alarm activations and conducting patrols.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and effectively to alarm activations and emergency situations.
• Conduct regular patrols in assigned areas to deter and detect security breaches.
• Provide armed response services where necessary.
• Ensure all security operations are conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare accurate and timely incident reports.
• Work closely with law enforcement and emergency response teams when required.

Alarm Response

• Respond promptly to alarm activations dispatched by the control room and proceed to the client’s premises within the expected response time.
• Assess the situation on arrival and verify whether the alarm activation is genuine, accidental, or a system fault.
• Take immediate action to secure the premises and escalate incidents to supervisors or authorities where necessary.

Site Inspection and Security Checks

• Conduct thorough inspections of doors, windows, gates, and perimeter areas to detect signs of intrusion or tampering.
• Identify potential security threats and ensure the property is safe before leaving the site.
• Provide support and reassurance to clients or occupants when necessary.

 Communication and Coordination

• Maintain constant communication with the control room during alarm response operations.
• Provide timely updates on arrival, findings, and actions taken.
• Coordinate with fellow response teams, supervisors, and emergency services when required.

 Incident Reporting

• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports after every alarm response.
• Record observations, actions taken, and outcomes of each response.
• Submit reports in accordance with company reporting procedures.

Patrol and Security Monitoring

• Conduct routine patrols of assigned locations to deter criminal activity.
• Monitor surrounding areas for suspicious behavior or security risks.
• Report unusual activities or security concerns to supervisors immediately.

Motorcycle and Equipment Management

• Safely operate and maintain the assigned company motorcycle at all times.
• Conduct basic daily checks to ensure the motorcycle is in good working condition.
• Safeguard all company-issued equipment including communication devices.

Client Service and Professional Conduct

• Interact with clients and members of the public professionally and respectfully.
• Represent the company positively through discipline, punctuality, and reliability.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding client information and security operations.

Requirements

• High/Secondary School education or equivalent.
• Proven experience in security operations, preferably as a security rider or in alarm response roles.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be physically fit and able to perform the duties of the role.
• Valid motorcycle riding license and experience in riding in Nairobi.
