K De Igratium International (KDII) is a women-owned social enterprise focused on empowering youth and women in refugee and underserved communities within Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs). The organization is seeking to recruit a Sales & Marketing Officer to lead and grow their sales revenue and expand their market access for the community produced goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue from KDII products (e.g. garments, reusable menstrual products, beadwork, handicrafts).
- Identify and develop new markets including corporate buyers, NGOs, humanitarian, government agencies, schools, retail outlets, exporters, and online platforms.
- Develop compelling proposals, business cases, and pitches tailored to various stakeholders.
- Strengthen KDII’s brand visibility and products through digital marketing, social media, storytelling, exhibitions, trade fairs, and partnerships.
- Build strategic partnerships with corporates, development partners, donors, retail chains, and e-commerce platforms.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and new markets.
- Provide input into product design, quality improvement, and packaging based on market feedback.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales and marketing reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- At least 4 years’ experience in sales and marketing, preferably within textiles or handicrafts
- Strong sales negotiation and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication, proposal writing, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing and social media management
- Experience working with community-based models is highly desirable.
- Willingness to relocate to Kakuma with frequent travels to Nairobi
Salary: Ksh. 30,000 - Ksh. 50,000
