Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure adequate stocks available for all pharmaceutical items in line with the hospital policies
- Maintain hospital wide pharmacy inventory, ensuring no stock outs, adherence to the tender and placing orders to the suppliers
- Ensuring all suppliers/distributors are in line with PPB regulations and all products are registered with PPB
- Approve all pharmaceutical items orders being sent out to suppliers
- Prepare reports
- Generate and capture fill rates to all the departments
- Checking expiry dates of medicines
- Create minimum reorder levels for pharmacy stores
- Communication to the relevant departments with regards to stock outs and appropriate alternatives
- Member of pharmaceutical tender committee

- Percentage of stock outs for pharmaceutical items
- Overall inventory of pharmaceutical items across the hospital
- Fill rates for orders supplied from MMD
- Audit score on medication storage
- Expiry value
- Variance level
- Compliance to formulary
- Compliance to tender
- JCI audit score
Qualifications, Regulatory & Legal Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
- Valid membership with PSK and a valid practicing license
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a hospital
