Job Description

Role Purpose

  • The ODI Developer (Manager, DataOps Support) is responsible for leading and coordinating application and data operations support to ensure high availability, reliability, security, and performance of banking systems. The role focuses on supporting critical data integration platforms, ETL processes, and application environments while ensuring robust controls, data integrity, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate application and DataOps support activities to ensure uninterrupted system availability and service reliability.
  • Collaborate with Technology and business teams to support software platforms and systems that enable core banking and operational processes.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL processes to transform raw data into reliable, actionable insights.
  • Translate business and data requirements into technical specifications and integration designs.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines, ETL workflows, and application performance to maintain data integrity and throughput.
  • Implement and promote best practices in ETL development, reporting, test automation, data quality validation, and technical documentation.
  • Administer application-level systems and associated databases, including defining and optimizing database structures and data processing flows.
  • Enforce system maintenance, change management, and release policies to ensure optimal uptime and controlled enhancements.
  • Support system acquisition and enhancement initiatives by contributing to solution designs, technical models, implementation roadmaps, and architecture documentation.
  • Perform system recovery testing in line with disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
  • Develop and maintain system configuration documents, data mappings, operating procedures, and user guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain best-practice policies and procedures to ensure service improvements are well-governed and meet organizational needs.

Requirements

Experience & Skills

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in application support, DataOps, or data integration roles within enterprise environments. - Hands-on experience supporting data platforms and ETL tools in production environments.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of computing platforms, operating systems, and databases (Linux, Windows, Unix). - Proficiency in SQL, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and data warehousing concepts. - Experience with web application servers such as JBoss and Tomcat. - Strong hands-on experience with ETL tools, ODI, and data pipelines. - Understanding of system administration, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Required).
  • Professional certifications in system administration (Linux, Databases, Oracle Data Integration) (Required).
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent (Advantageous).
