Outspan Hospital started operations with the establishment of an Out Patient Department on August 7, 2001. A month later, the In Patient Department was opened with a capacity of 21 beds. Currently, the Out Patient Department has evolved into a one stop shop for all medical services expected of a national referral hospital. Despite the high cost of day to day operations and purchase and maintenance of modern medical equipment, The Outspan Hospital has retained very low rates in charges and fees. Some of the rates have never been reviewed since the facility opened its doors.
Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Manages administrative functions, including accounting, financial reporting, payroll,personnel administration, risk management, purchasing, facilities maintenance and administrative support.
- Assists in the development and implementation of department or division policies; prepares and revises procedures, rules and manuals; analyzes legislation which may affect program activities; reviews operations for compliance with statutes, rules and regulations.
- Serves as a member of the management team; works in a collaborative environment to make program and administrative recommendations on the provision of mental healthcare services.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in health systems management acquired from a recognized institution
- 3-5 years' relevant Work Experience
- Experience in a management position.
