Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Internal Audit Officer to join our team at Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits of financial and operational processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare detailed audit reports that highlight observations, analysis, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Assist in the development of the annual audit plan.
• Monitor the progress of audit findings and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit tools and techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIA) is an added advantage.
• 5 years experience in auditing, accounting, or finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
