Job Description
The Field Sales Representative will drive sales and market penetration of veterinary animal health and nutrition products. The role involves building strong relationships with veterinary professionals and paraprofessionals, agro-vet outlets, farmers, cooperatives, and other stakeholders in the livestock value chain to ensure increased product uptake and sustainable sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal nutrition products to existing and potential customers (veterinarians, farmers, agro-vet shops, cooperatives, NGOs).
- Identify and develop new markets and customer segments in assigned regions.
- Provide technical product demonstrations and on-farm training to farmers and veterinary practitioners.
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and provide feedback to management for product positioning.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company credit policies.
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships through regular farm/field visits and after-sales support.
- Organize and participate in field days, exhibitions, and stakeholder forums to promote products.
- Prepare and submit sales reports and customer visit records.
- Work closely with the technical and marketing teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support product awareness campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health, Animal Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sales of veterinary, animal health, or nutrition products.
- A valid KVB license
- Valid motorbike/vehicle riding license (must be willing to travel extensively in the field).
- Knowledge of the Kenyan livestock sector, including dairy, poultry, beef, and small ruminants.
- Existing strong network of farmers, veterinarians, and agro-vets is an added advantage.
