Key Duties & Responsibilities

Set up, calibrate, and operate oil extraction machinery (presses, centrifuges, decanters, separators).

Monitor machine settings, adjust controls, and check pulp input to ensure smooth operation.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform minor adjustments, and escalate repairs when necessary.

Track and maximize production efficiency, ensuring output meets targets.

Conduct quality checks on oil purity, viscosity, color, and moisture content throughout production.

Follow safety procedures for equipment startup, shutdown, and daily inspections.

Clean and sanitize machines and work areas to prevent contamination.

Maintain accurate production logs, calibration records, and daily reports.

Collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.

Occupational Trade Test III/II/I for Machine Operators from a recognized institution.

First Aid Certificate Course (minimum 1 week) from a recognized institution.

At least 3 years’ hands-on experience operating machinery in food processing or manufacturing.

Experience with oil extraction equipment or similar processing machinery is an added advantage.

Knowledge of safety regulations related to machine operation and food processing.
