About the Client:
Our client in the retail industry, is looking for a candidate to join their team as a SALES PERSON. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring quality sales operations, and maintaining store standards in line with company guidelines.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities.
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide product information and guide customers in making purchase decisions.
Handle customer complaints or escalate to the supervisor where necessary.
Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately.
Process cash, M-Pesa, and card transactions securely.
Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales.
Replenish shelves and ensure products are neatly arranged.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries.
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of shelves, counters, and the general store area.
Ensure price tags and promotional displays are accurate and visible.
Adhere to company policies, including cash handling, customer service, and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards (for perishable goods).
Key Qualifications
Diploma/Certificate in Business Management, Sales and Marketing
1- 2 years experience in retail, supermarket, or sales role is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of using POS systems and handling cash.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Honest, reliable, and customer-oriented.
Ability to work under pressure

Confidence in upselling, cross-selling, and achieving daily/weekly sales targets.
