Responsibilities
Engineering
Review and interpret MV/HV protection and control system designs, including relay settings, protection schemes, and wiring diagrams.
Review and interpret OEM specifications, client requirements, and project standards.
Project Management
Lead technical aspects of projects from inception to completion.
Prepare and review project proposals, technical specifications, and budgets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and OEM partners to ensure seamless execution.
Lead a team of project engineers (power systems protection & control)
Testing and Commissioning
Develop testing and commissioning plans for MV/HV systems.
Lead on-site testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of protection and control equipment.
Prepare test reports and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, OEMs, and stakeholders.
Conduct technical presentations and training for clients and team members.
Provide post-installation support and troubleshooting.
Compliance and Standards
Ensure all designs and installations comply with international and local standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.).
Maintain knowledge of emerging trends and advancements in MV/HV protection systems.
Develop and implement quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in system protection and control engineering
Extensive experience working with MV/HV protection products and systems
Knowledge of power system components such as CT’s, VT’s, Meters, Circuit Breakers, Load Break Switches, Vacuum Contactor etc.
Proficiency in protection relay configuration and testing tools
Strong understanding of power system protection principles and schemes.
Familiarity with SCADA and communication protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, etc.)
