Roles & Responsibilities:
Maintaining the general ledger by accurately entering and updating financial information, transactions, documentation, and records using the company’s accounting software [Navision] and Microsoft Excel-based database tools
Accounts Receivable: Maintaining accounts receivable and supporting documents.
Recording customer invoices, applying cash receipts, following up on collections, and reconciling accounts receivable for the month-end.
Accounts Payable: Maintaining accounts payable and supporting documentation.
Process vendor/supplier invoices and payments (net of appropriate VAT/WHT), ensuring accuracy of vendor invoices and pre-requisite internal Management approvals
Perform a monthly stock take for the bakery inventory and reconcile any variances between the stock take, trial balance, and inventory listing from the system.
Record the inventory movements in the system and reconcile for accuracy and completeness.
Reconciliation of bank statements and other G/L accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies
Preparing weekly cash management, inventory management, and other reports
Record monthly payroll entries
Preparing data for month-end, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Providing general administrative support, including filing, copying, scanning, and managing communication with vendors and customers, as required
Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and controls in all functions and duties
Minimum Requirements:
Degree/diploma in Accounting
4+years’ experience with increasing responsibility and/or promotion working as part of an Accounting or Finance team.
Working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles
