Job Description
Job Purpose:
The role holder will work jointly with segments and branches in offering advisory on livestock performance, market trends, challenges and opportunities related to livestock financing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting visits to assess and report on Livestock performance for clients and regions financed by the bank for production as well as on potential borrowers
- Advise the bank on potential areas and timings for Financing Livestock farmers and traders based on forecasted weather and rainfall patterns.
- Onboard clients on livestock Insurance
- Advise the bank on Emerging trends and opportunities in livestock production systems.
- Monitor Livestock performance and trigger compensation by underwriters.
- Liaison with key stakeholders in the livestock industry.
- Coordinating bank participation in events within the sub-sector ensuring value maximization.
Qualifications
Academic Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in livestock production, nutrition or Animal breeding/Production Systems.
- Any other professional qualification in technical analysis, Research, project management is an added advantage.
- At least eight (5) years of relevant experience in the Food & Agriculture, five (3) of which must be in technical level of the sector.
- Competence in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Sector analysis tools, etc.)
