Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically driven Maintenance Planner to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of all plant equipment, utilities, and facilities at our Vegetable Oil Extraction Plant. The role will focus on developing and coordinating preventive and predictive maintenance programs, optimizing operational performance, and ensuring compliance with ISO, GMP, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance activities for plant equipment, utilities, and facilities in line with ISO standards and methodologies (TPM, RCM, WCM).
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Drive operational excellence and process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance master plan for all plant assets, leveraging CMMS for planning, scheduling, and tracking.
- Monitor key performance indicators (OEE, MTTR, MTBF, energy consumption) and implement corrective actions to achieve set targets.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to resolve equipment and process issues promptly.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and general Agri-Hub teams, as well as external service providers, to support seamless operations.
- Oversee spare parts inventory, procurement, and technical consumables to ensure availability of critical spares.
- Promote compliance with GMP, GPP, and quality management systems through robust maintenance procedures and documentation.
- Train, supervise, and coach the maintenance team to foster a high-performance, LEAN, and continuous improvement culture.
- Develop and maintain maintenance SOPs, documentation, and history records in line with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Support energy management initiatives by reducing leakages (air, water, oil, energy) and optimizing utility usage.
- Ensure adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental standards, proactively mitigating risks and hazards.
- Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets, recommending cost-reduction initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent or Plant Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably oil extraction or refining.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, project execution, and reliability engineering principles.
- Proficiency with planning tools (MS Project), CMMS, RCA tools, condition monitoring, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of statutory maintenance compliance, equipment safety standards, and quality systems.
