Job Description
Summary:
- Phoenix Capital Limited, a medium-sized microfinance institution in Nairobi, is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Collection Tele-Sales Agent to join our dynamic Call Center team.
- The successful candidate will focus on loan collections for our logbook loan clients. This role requires in-depth knowledge of logbook loan products, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collections:
- Proactively contact logbook loan clients via phone to follow up on overdue payments.
- Persuade clients to make payments by clearly explaining the consequences of default and the benefits of settling their loans on time.
- Customer Service:
- Provide accurate information regarding loan balances, payment terms, and other account related inquiries.
- Build strong client relationships to maintain a positive company image.
- Negotiation & Problem-Solving:
- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients based on their financial situation and company policies.
- Address and resolve disputes or concerns effectively to ensure payment recovery.
- Data Management:
- Accurately document all communication and payment commitments in the company’s
- CRM system.
- Update client account statuses and maintain detailed records of collection efforts.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the collections team to meet and exceed individual and team targets.
- Share insights and feedback to improve the collections process.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards while performing collections activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a microfinance collections call center with a focus on logbook loan products.
