Job Overview:
Our client in the media industry is seeking a motivated and results-driven salesperson to join their billboard advertising team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling billboard advertising spaces to local, regional, and national businesses. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, understanding their advertising needs, and providing tailored solutions to help them achieve their marketing goals through outdoor advertising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities for billboard advertising.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by actively seeking out leads through cold calls, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients in various industries including retail, real estate, entertainment, and more.
- Meet with prospective clients to understand their advertising goals, target audiences, and marketing budget.
- Offer expert advice on the best locations, formats, and sizes of billboards to match client objectives.
- Provide clients with clear and compelling presentations and proposals for billboard
- advertising options.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service agreements with clients.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to management.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in outdoor advertising and industry best
- practices.
- Monitor competitor activity and pricing to ensure competitive positioning in the market.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and understand their advertising needs.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
Education & Experience:
- Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (preferred).
Work Environment:
- Dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities to work with top-tier clients.
- Travel required for client meetings and site visits.
