Samsung Galaxy Fold 7 Leak Reveals Slim Design and S Pen Removal
Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event has been overshadowed by a last-minute leak that reveals major changes to the Galaxy Fold 7. Just a day before the official launch, trusted leaker Roland Quandt shared leaked marketing materials that offer a detailed look at the Galaxy Fold 7—and one surprising omission: no support for the S Pen. If you're wondering whether the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will include S Pen functionality, the latest leak suggests a major shift in design direction.
Galaxy Fold 7 Leak Confirms Ultra-Slim Build
According to the leaked materials, the Galaxy Fold 7 will feature a super slim 4.2mm profile when unfolded and weigh just 215 grams—"less than a large bar of chocolate." This marks the slimmest Galaxy Fold yet, and Samsung is clearly focusing on making it lighter and easier to carry. The Z Flip 7, also leaked, comes in at just 6.5mm unfolded—roughly the width of a pencil. These changes are likely part of Samsung’s strategy to appeal to more mainstream users seeking sleek, portable foldables.
No S Pen Support for Galaxy Fold 7?
One of the most talked-about aspects of this leak is the Galaxy Fold 7's lack of S Pen support. Unlike previous Fold models that allowed for a separate S Pen Fold Edition, the leaked promo content makes no mention of stylus compatibility. This could be a disappointment for power users who enjoyed sketching or multitasking with the Fold. While the Galaxy S25 Ultra still supports a built-in S Pen, it appears Samsung is streamlining the Fold 7 experience by focusing on size and weight.
Galaxy Watch 8 and Ultra Variants Also Leaked
The leak also spilled details about Samsung’s next-gen wearables, including the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra. The Ultra version will reportedly boast 64GB of storage (up from 32GB), a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, dual-frequency GPS, and up to 100 hours of battery in power-saving mode. Meanwhile, the Watch 8 Classic will ship in a single 1.3-inch size with a sleek rotating bezel and improved battery capacity. Both watches also sport design updates, including thinner profiles and brighter displays—up to 3,000 nits.
