Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach 2 has become the city’s first beach to receive the Gold Accessibility Certification from the World Disability Union, marking a major milestone in inclusive public spaces.

The beach now features the Middle East’s first dedicated sensory room, designed to provide a calm, supportive environment for visitors with sensory sensitivities, including People of Determination. The initiative reflects Dubai’s ongoing commitment to making its attractions accessible to everyone.

Announced on June 29, 2026, the upgrade sets a new benchmark for accessible beach experiences, combining world-class facilities with inclusivity and comfort for all visitors.
