Finding a job is a job.

    2. You’ll get ghosted after second and third interviews.
    3. You’ll question your worth more than once.
    4. People will say, “Just keep trying” — and you’ll want to scream.
    5. But somehow, you’ll keep showing up. And that’s where the shift happens.

Because you only need one yes.
    One opportunity to change everything.

To everyone applying, interviewing, and getting back up after every “no” — you’re doing better than you think.
Keep going. You’re closer than you know.

But here’s the truth: consistency wins. Every “no” is not the end. It is only one step closer to the “yes” you are waiting for.

When you feel demotivated, pause, take a breath, but do not quit. Update your CV, make small changes, learn from each rejection, and keep going.  less

It is often seen that someone may have said,
“Send your CV to my inbox”,
and you just attached a PDF file and sent it—
You didn’t write a single line!

This is a completely wrong approach.

In addition to your CV, writing a professional email is also very important.
Because an HR can understand from the language of your email—how serious and professional you are.

📍Ideal email template for sending your CV:

To: [Email address of the company you’re applying to]

Subject: APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF [POSITION TITLE]

    Email Body:

    Dear [Employer/HR Manager],

I am writing to express my interest in the position of [Position Title] as advertised recently. My qualifications, skills, and experience align closely with your requirements for this role.

Please find my CV and supporting documents attached for your review. I would be delighted to discuss how I can contribute to your team and look forward to hearing from you soon about this exciting opportunity.

    kind regards,
    [Your Full Name]
[LinkedIn or portfolio link, if available]

I would love to work for (add company name) as their vision and mission are in line with mine.
Let me know what you think, I'd love to talk.
    Best,
    (Your Name)

📍 2. You are contacting yourself (even if there is no job posting) Template:

    Greetings, (First Name)

My name is (Name), and I am a (Insert Role).
I have been following your organization's work for a while now. (Add notable achievements of company)

I am very interested in working at (Insert something unique to the company).
(Insert some information about your experience)

If you have a second, I would love to discuss how my experience and skills can benefit your organization for the position of (Insert name of role).

(If there is no job posting, and you want to inquire about an opening then add the line mentioned below.)

Thank you and have an amazing day!

    Best,
    (Your Name)

    📍Some important tips:

✅ Always send your CV in PDF format.

❌ Avoid scanned images, screenshots or .doc files.

    During a job interview…

    HR: What’s your expected salary?

    Candidate: AED 10,000.

HR: We like your profile, but that might be a bit above our budget.

Candidate: I really want this role. If AED 9,000 works, I’m okay with that.

HR: Great let’s finalize it at AED 8,500.

Candidate agrees… a little unsure, but hopeful.

    Later in the office:

    “Position closed,” HR reports.
“Budget was AED 11,000 — I hired at AED 8,500. We saved AED 2,500/month!”

Manager: “Excellent work. That’s smart hiring.”

    Weeks pass…

The new hire discovers the truth — peers are earning AED 10,500–11,000 for the same role.

    💥 Motivation drops
    💥 Trust breaks
    💥 Performance dips
    💥 Resignation letter arrives

And just like that, the company is back to square one:
    • Another vacancy
    • Another round of hiring
    • More onboarding costs
    • Lost time and productivity

    The hard truth?

👉 Underpaying great talent isn’t saving.
    👉 It’s postponing a bigger cost.

If you want to retain top people, pay them what they’re worth from day one.

They don’t just bring skills — they bring stability, loyalty, and long-term value.

💬 Have you seen this happen in your career — on either side of the table?  less

I’ve seen this play out too many times:

→ A candidate crushed their final interviews. Everyone was impressed. They were confident an offer was coming. But the hiring manager chose someone else.

→ Another candidate nailed an interview with a dream job. They were so sure it was a done deal, they barely prepared for their other interviews with other companies. Then? That company changed direction on the role entirely.

Both were left starting over. Frustrated. Discouraged. Stalled.

    A great interview doesn’t guarantee a job.

Strong performance doesn’t always equal a yes.

And more often, decisions have nothing to do with you.

The search isn’t over until the paperwork is signed.

    So keep applying.
    Keep networking.
    Keep moving forward.

    Hope for the best.
But stay active until it’s official.  less

Please stop — and read this carefully.

Many job seekers are unknowingly falling into the trap of paying money to secure job offers.

    But here's the truth:
🔹 It is completely illegal in the UAE for any person or recruitment agency to charge you a fee to get a job.
🔹 Under UAE Labour Law, employers are responsible for all recruitment-related costs — not the job seeker.

👉 If someone asks you for payment in exchange for a job offer, visa, or interview — it’s a scam.
👉 You can report such cases to MOHRE (Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation).

The reality is - You might be a great candidate. But, there is someone out there who:
    1. Knows the recruiter.
    2. Or has somebody who can vouch for them
    3. Or has prior manager/colleague giving information on "EXACTLY" what the company is looking for.

When you apply on LinkedIn or Naukri - You can't compete with these candidates. Because, the organizations "Trust" referrals/warm intros more than hiring a candidate through online job portal.
    - Even if you are the SMARTEST guy, you can't do much about it!

    That is where:
    1. College alumni network comes into picture.
    2. Your prior colleagues come into picture.
    3. Your parents network / your friends network / your extended family's network - everything becomes important when you are desperate!

If you really want to grow & have a long career
    - Don't underestimate ANYBODY. Even your juniors or freshers on your team.
    - If you don't have time for nice talk, don't talk! But, don't belittle others.
    - Folks don't forget how you make them feel!

    Be humble & help others.
This is the reality! There is NO OTHER WAY to grow in your career!

STOP ASKING CHATGPT TO “WRITE ME A RESUME”

That’s why recruiters aren’t calling you back.

Use these 6 prompts instead — and watch interviews start coming to you:

    1. “Act like a hiring manager in [your industry]. What’s missing from my résumé for this role?”
    → Reveals blind spots instantly.

    2. “Rewrite my headline and summary to sound confident, specific, and aligned with [target role].”
    → First impressions that stick.

    3. “Turn my bullet points into measurable achievements using power verbs and numbers.”
→ Metrics speak louder than duties.

    4. “Reframe my 2022 career gap as a strength or period of growth.”
→ Shift the story in your favor.

    5. “Optimize this section with ATS-friendly keywords from the job posting.”
    → Get past the bots.

Candidate: I’m too frustrated this would be last time I’m applying.

So , He applied for the third time and finally resume got shortlisted then HR called him for an interview.

    And guess what?

Company offered him a role right after the interview.

He joined company in low package just because he was trying for this company since long.

Now, over a year later, he has left that company, finally now he is in a leadership position and one of the top billers.

The lesson I learned from this: do not always judge a person solely based on their CV.

Sometimes, they are more than that two page profile.

Give a chance to candidates - they have energy and ideas more than you can think of.

    Stop Wasting Job Seekers’ Time.

If you’ve already decided to hire your friend, cousin, or someone from your circle (even if they’re flying in from another country)…

    Don’t post “We are hiring.”

Every fake opening you post costs someone hours of preparing a CV, writing a cover letter, and building hope — only to have it crushed.

Job seekers aren’t statistics. They’re human beings investing real effort for a chance that never existed.

Be transparent. If it’s an internal hire, say so. If the role is already filled, don’t post it. Trust in hiring is built on honesty, not false advertisements.

    Don’t waste someone’s dreams 🙏

    Agree or disagree?

    You send your CV.

    And wait.

    Silence.
    Here’s why.

In United Arab Emirates, 90% of job seekers make these mistakes:
➤ Generic CV – One CV for all jobs = no callbacks.
➤ Wrong keywords – Your CV doesn’t match the job description wording.
➤ No format – Recruiters scan CVs in 6–8 seconds. Wrong layout = skipped.
➤ Applying to expired roles – Many listings stay up after hiring.
➤ No follow-up – You apply once and disappear.
➤ Not networking – a relationship can be stronger than online applications.

In United Arab Emirates, the market is busy.
    The pile is high.
    The recruiter’s time is short.

If your CV doesn’t speak their language,
    It doesn’t speak at all.

    It’s not about applying more.
    It’s about applying smarter.

💬 When was the last time you rewrote your CV for the Saudi market?

♻️ Share this with someone who’s applying in silence.
