Warehouse Manager

Role Overview

Lead the daily operation and ongoing improvement of the warehouse, from inventory control and order readiness to dispatch and delivery performance. You’ll use operational data, clear procedures, and team leadership to maintain reliable service, protect stock, and manage warehouse and distribution costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and review warehouse performance measures, including inventory accuracy, order turnaround, dispatch service levels, stock losses, labor productivity, and use of storage space.
• Improve warehouse workflows by developing procedures and controls, refining layouts, strengthening 5S practices, and introducing productivity improvements.
• Track warehouse and courier expenses, identify avoidable costs, and support measures to reduce losses and disposal waste.
• Maintain dependable system inventory records through movement reconciliations, scheduled cycle counts, investigation of discrepancies, and follow-up corrective actions.
• Coordinate order processing with internal teams to keep picking and packing on schedule and ensure orders are ready for dispatch.
• Monitor distribution from dispatch through delivery, resolving delays, incomplete orders, and lost or damaged shipments to limit service disruption and financial exposure.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control activity, and ensure warehouse work follows established procedures, safety requirements, and applicable audit and legal standards.
• Lead, coach, and assess warehouse employees; maintain operational records and prepare required reports for management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Five to seven years of experience in warehouse management or an equivalent role.
• Practical experience using warehouse management systems.
• Strong analytical ability, including the confidence to interpret operational data and investigate inventory or performance variances.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the interpersonal ability to work effectively across teams.
