Role Overview

As a Waiter or Waitress at Long Island Restaurant in Downtown Dubai, you will guide guests through their dining experience, from welcoming them and taking orders to handling payment and responding to requests. Your attentive service and coordination with the kitchen and fellow staff will help keep restaurant operations running smoothly, particularly during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, help them get settled, and provide courteous service throughout their visit.
• Explain menu options and answer questions about dishes, ingredients, and common allergy concerns.
• Record food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve orders promptly and check that guests’ needs are being met.
• Process payments using POS and KNET machines.
• Receive and coordinate delivery-platform orders alongside dine-in service.
• Keep dining areas clean, organised, and ready for guests.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and service colleagues to resolve requests and prevent delays.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least two years of hospitality experience, including previous experience in the UAE.
• Confident communication skills and a friendly, professional approach to guest service.
• Ability to remain composed and efficient during busy restaurant shifts.
• Basic experience with restaurant POS systems and KNET payment terminals.
• General food knowledge and awareness of food allergies and safe service practices.
• Familiarity with managing orders through delivery platforms.
• Immediate availability is preferred. No formal education qualification is specified.
