Role Overview

Amicabre Travel Services is looking for composed, safety-conscious PSV Drivers to transport passengers across Nairobi and its surrounding areas. In this role, you will be the face of the company on the road, handling daily assigned routes with professionalism, precise vehicle control, and a courteous manner toward every passenger. Your consistent presence and reliability directly support the company's reputation for trustworthy, comfortable travel services in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate passenger service vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned Nairobi routes, including estates and surrounding regions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness, fuel levels, tyre pressure, and overall cleanliness.
• Transport passengers to their destinations while strictly following traffic laws, company policies, and scheduled timetables.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming cabin environment to ensure a positive passenger experience.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with passengers, addressing inquiries and assisting with boarding or alighting as needed.
• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or route delays immediately to dispatch or management.
• Handle cash or ticket-based payment verification where applicable, without compromising focus on safe driving.
• Uphold the company's professional image by remaining punctual, well-dressed, and composed under all conditions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Hold a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or higher academic qualification.
• Possess a valid PSV license, a current Certificate of Good Conduct, and a valid Driving License covering classes ABCE, D1, D2, and D3.
• Show a minimum of 8 years of continuous, verifiable driving experience, preferably in passenger service vehicles.
• Provide recommendation letters from recognised former employers or reputable institutions.
• Demonstrate thorough familiarity with Nairobi roads, major estates, and surrounding areas, including peak-hour alternative routes.
• Be aged between 30 and 45 years at the time of application.
• Be fluent in English, with clear verbal communication and basic report-writing ability.
• Present a neat, well-groomed appearance and a professional demeanour that reflects positively on the company.
