Job Description

Role Overview

You will own the end-to-end user experience for a portfolio of digital products, stepping in as the lead designer on complex initiatives that span mobile, web, and internal business tools. Your day-to-day work involves translating ambiguous business goals into clear interaction models, facilitating workshops with stakeholders, and producing the wireframes, prototypes, and specs that guide development teams toward polished, usable solutions. Because this is a senior-level position, you will also shape how the UX team operates, mentoring peers and championing design standards that keep every project consistent and user-centered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the UX design lifecycle for multiple concurrent projects, from initial discovery through to final handoff, making high-impact decisions about navigation, layout, interaction patterns, and visual hierarchy.
  • Facilitate collaborative design-thinking sessions with business analysts, engineers, product owners, and researchers to extract requirements, clarify constraints, and align on user goals before building begins.
  • Produce the full range of UX artifacts—including site maps, user flows, journey maps, wireframes, clickable prototypes, and annotated design specifications—so that downstream development work is unambiguous and efficient.
  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research such as stakeholder interviews, usability testing, competitive benchmarking, surveys, and workflow analysis, then synthesize findings into actionable recommendations and prioritized trade-offs.
  • Partner closely with technical leads to validate feasibility early in the design process, iterating on solutions to balance user needs with system constraints and performance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain UI/UX guidelines, patterns, and reusable component standards, then advocate for their adoption across teams to ensure a cohesive and accessible customer experience.
  • Define realistic design schedules, estimate effort for upcoming work, and manage priorities across a dynamic backlog while communicating progress and risks to product and business stakeholders.
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert on evolving design trends, emerging tools, and industry best practices, translating those insights into the organization’s future-facing UX strategy.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in an IT, design, or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience; formal study in graphic design, visual communication, digital media, or a related visual field is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on UX/UI design experience specifically for mobile and web platforms, with a portfolio demonstrating success in product design, information architecture, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Advanced proficiency across every stage of the UX process: user research, persona development, journey mapping, sketching, low- and high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototyping, and usability validation.
  • Expert-level command of modern design tools, particularly Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator, along with the ability to produce clean, developer-ready asset handoffs.
  • A proven track record of leading complex design initiatives and driving consensus among stakeholders with competing priorities, supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management instincts: you scope accurately, estimate realistically, break large problems into manageable milestones, and deliver dependable results in a fast-moving environment.
  • Familiarity with front-end constraints and usability heuristics so that proposed solutions are technically sound, accessible, and feasible to implement without degradation of experience quality.
