You will join a specialised indirect tax practice, working on client engagements that span VAT compliance, advisory, and dispute resolution. Your day-to-day work involves analysing tax positions, preparing technical opinions, and liaising with the Kenya Revenue Authority on behalf of clients. This role matters because your advice directly shapes client decisions and helps the firm maintain trusted relationships across regulated and commercial sectors.

- Prepare well-reasoned tax opinions, proposals, and technical memoranda on VAT and related indirect tax matters for clients across industries.
- Support clients through Kenya Revenue Authority audits, including drafting objections and appeals against assessments and representing the client’s position in correspondence.
- Contribute to business development by preparing tender documents, presentations, and pitches that showcase the firm’s indirect tax capability.
- Analyse client data using standard tools and visualisation techniques to identify tax risks, savings opportunities, and process improvements.
- Develop and refine internal knowledge on evolving tax legislation, case law, and administrative practice, then translate that into client-ready publications and articles.
- Collaborate with team members to design new service offerings and products that address emerging indirect tax challenges in the Kenyan market.
- Proactively build and nurture relationships with clients, professional networks, and the Kenya Revenue Authority to generate leads and maintain trust.
