Reporting Relationships

Reports to: Senior Assistant Director, ICT

Job Purpose

This cadre is responsible for:

• Configuration, maintenance and operation of Authority’s network, servers, desktop, storage infrastructure; and
• Maintenance of the Authority’s ICT security systems to secure online and on premise ICT infrastructure;

Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks

An officer at this grade will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

• Supporting in implementation of policies, strategies, guidelines, plans, standards and procedures relating to ICT Systems, Network and Security while ensuring compliance to applicable laws, statutes and circulars;
• Configuring, managing, maintaining and ensuring security of ICT infrastructure, programmes and equipment;
• Implementing ICT systems and networks;
• Maintaining ICT Systems, Network and Security equipment and inventory in the Authority;
• Providing ICT Systems, Network and Security technical support in the Authority;
• Initiating corrective action, system safeguards and recovery plans in case of disaster or data loss.
• Updating all records in the division;
• Consolidating data for compiling internal and external reports in the division;
• Implementing risks mitigation measures; and
• Developing and implementing individual work plans.

Knowledge, Experience and qualifications required

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have the following Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Business Information Technology, Information Communication Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Professional Certification in any two of the following: - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Certificate in ethical hacking.
