ICT & Systems Manager

Our client, a global organization in the energy sector is setting up its offices in Kenya and is looking to recruit an ICT & SYSTEMS MANAGER to join their team in Kenya.

JOB PURPOSE

This individual will provide day-to-day ICT support and advisory services to ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of technology systems and infrastructure for the organization.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement ICT strategies, architectures, and solutions aligned with the organization’s ICT guidelines and business objectives.
• Plan, implement, and manage efficient and effective ICT applications, infrastructure, and telecommunications solutions to support business performance.
• Lead the adoption of digital solutions and technologies in alignment with the organization’s Transformation Programme.
• Engage with business functions to identify, assess, and prioritize ICT requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic objectives.
• Plan, monitor, and manage ICT budgets, expenditure, and resources, ensuring costs are controlled and activities are delivered within agreed timelines.
• Lead and coordinate ICT projects to ensure delivery within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure the provision of reliable and efficient ICT services that meet business requirements and operational needs.
• Implement and maintain information security, data protection, ICT governance, and compliance standards in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure ICT activities comply with applicable internal standards, procedures, regulatory requirements, and information security frameworks.
• Continuously assess ICT services and infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization, innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CAREER EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Fluent knowledge of English and Swahili
• 8+ years of relevant working experience within ICT field in with at least 4 in senior roles.
• Very good knowledge of information and technology systems, applications and equipment
• Very good knowledge of computer security
• Very good knowledge of Systems Architecture
• Very good knowledge of Leadership, management and coordination of multicultural teams
