Your primary focus is to ensure the frictionless movement of production raw materials and finished goods from initial vendor sourcing through to final field dispatch. This position bridges rigorous compliance framework auditing with hands-on logistics tracking; you will supervise frontline hub coordinators, lead cross-border freight clearing, and negotiate complex vendor terms. The role requires an analytical, process-driven leader who understands the mechanics of international shipping, inventory valuation, and donor-funded compliance standards.
Source, vet, and audit suppliers for raw production assets and daily administrative operational materials.
Solicit formal market quotations, perform analytical bid comparisons, and present data-backed procurement recommendations to directors.
Author and authenticate official Purchase Orders while preserving complete, audit-ready transactional logs.
Partner with internal finance units to streamline vendor account disbursements and coordinate monthly fiscal reports.
Monitor manufacturer production charts and supply timelines to guarantee prompt, uninterrupted material streams.
Maintain aggressive communication networks with key vendors to predict, intercept, and mitigate potential logistics shortfalls.
Enforce strict compliance checks to confirm all incoming freight meets exact specifications, physical counts, and packaging rules.
Plan and direct local distribution channels and international freight movements for raw inputs and completed kits.
Oversee relationships with freight forwarders, custom clearing agents, and terminal logistics networks to guarantee rapid transit.
Draft, verify, and archive comprehensive import/export documents, certificates of origin, and custom declarations.
Lead regulatory clearance protocols at ports of entry, resolving documentation discrepancies with precision.
Direct all warehouse tracking procedures executed by the hub coordination staff to protect inventory accuracy.
Conduct comprehensive periodic evaluations of inventory ledgers, adjusting discrepancies within internal enterprise systems.
Govern stock volumes and map replenishment thresholds to eliminate resource depletion or wasteful overstocking.
Spearhead quarterly physical counts alongside financial managers to ensure absolute alignment with corporate accounting assets.
Mentor hub personnel on warehousing workflows, space optimization, and safety protocols.
Academic Foundation: Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or an equivalent technical field.
Professional Track Record: Minimum of 3 years of progressive corporate experience handling procurement contracts, warehouse networks, or international freight logistics.
Sector Background: Background operating within non-governmental organizations (NGOs), donor-backed operations, manufacturing centers, or large distribution hubs is highly valued.
Affiliations: Active membership in professional bodies like KISM or CIPS serves as a distinct advantage.
Strategic Sourcing: Proven capacity to negotiate vendor service level agreements and run competitive tender cycles.
Data Precision: Deep understanding of modern inventory logging applications, asset tracking software, and comprehensive spreadsheet models.
