Job Description

ATL Global Business is an internationally oriented and privately founded recruiting and consultancy firm based in Kenya, with operations and partners in East and South Africa. On behalf of our client, a premium inbound destination management company with established operations across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, we are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Stores Attendant to join their team in Nairobi.

Our client specializes in personalized travel services and exceptional products, including private guided tours, FIT arrangements, group travel experiences, and MICE products. This is an exciting career opportunity to support efficient inventory, stores, and warehouse operations within a fast-paced, people-focused organization.

The Stores Attendant will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and other company assets, while ensuring full compliance with established procedures and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Stores Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Inventory Management, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in stores, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or related operations.
  • Good working knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, goods receiving and issuing, and records management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with an ERP or inventory management system is an added advantage.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Integrity, accountability, and reliability.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Good understanding of inventory and stores management procedures.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and delivery personnel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, verify, store, and issue inventory in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, stock cards, inventory systems, and related documentation.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and support timely replenishment.
  • Participate in regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage and track company tools, equipment, and other assets held in the stores, including issuance and returns, and report any damage, loss, or discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper labeling, shelving, arrangement, and storage of inventory.
  • Apply FIFO and FEFO principles to ensure effective stock rotation and minimize wastage, expiry, and obsolescence.
  • Ensure the safe handling and proper storage of fragile, hazardous, and other sensitive materials in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
  • Maintain the stores in a clean, secure, well-organized, and safe condition.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, logistics, suppliers, and user departments to support smooth and timely operations.
  • Update inventory records and systems promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain proper filing of stores and inventory documentation and prepare periodic inventory reports as required.
  • Monitor and maintain records of damaged, expired, obsolete, or slow-moving stock and support appropriate action.
