Role Overview
This is an in-person, full-time technical role focused on delivering flawless audio, video, and lighting experiences for live productions and broadcasts. Each day involves the full lifecycle of event equipment—setting up, testing, operating, and tearing down—while ensuring every detail is ready before the audience arrives. Your work directly supports the quality and reputation of every performance, conference, or corporate event the team stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Position and rig audio, video, and lighting gear, including running cables and securing all components for safe and stable operation.
- Perform complete pre-event system checks to confirm every piece of equipment meets the technical and creative requirements of the show.
- Operate sound and video equipment during live concerts, corporate functions, and broadcast productions, managing levels and signal flow to maintain consistent quality.
- Adjust audio processing and output to suit each venue’s acoustics, reducing feedback and balancing speech or music for clear, natural sound.
- Capture studio-grade recordings of dialogue and music, then convert analog tape or sources into digital files ready for editing and archiving.
- Coordinate the end-to-end setup, configuration, and take-down of LED display panels used in live event environments.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and routine servicing on the inventory, keeping all equipment in reliable, performance-ready condition.
- Document recording sessions, equipment usage, and maintenance activities in accurate logs for tracking and future reference.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in live sound, broadcast, or event production; additional education or further practical experience is a strong plus.
- Solid working knowledge of professional audio equipment, signal flow, and recording techniques, paired with a genuine passion for broadcast and recorded sound.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to solve technical problems quickly under time pressure.
- Careful attention to detail, especially when testing gear, securing cables, and documenting system performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with event managers, performers, and crew members.
- Proven time management and organizational abilities, with comfort handling multiple priorities during busy production schedules.
- Physical resilience and flexibility to handle demanding load-in and load-out cycles, including evening and weekend event hours.
- A collaborative attitude and readiness to support any area of the production team when needed.
