Sonographer

Role Overview

You will operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images for patients visiting our outpatient medical centers. Your day-to-day work involves preparing patients for scans, performing examinations according to established imaging protocols, and making sure every image is accurate and ready for review by referring clinicians. Because we run multiple centers, you may be asked to work at different locations within the area, so adaptability and a patient-first approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by confirming their identity, explaining the procedure, and positioning them correctly to obtain high-quality images.
• Perform ultrasound scans across a range of clinical indications, following our internal standard operating procedures and imaging quality standards at all times.
• Check each study for completeness, image clarity, and diagnostic usefulness, correlating findings with patient history when appropriate before releasing results.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, imaging logs, and test documentation in line with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and manage the consumables needed for scanning, ordering supplies and applying stock control measures to avoid waste or shortages.
• Carry out scheduled and routine maintenance on ultrasound machines, promptly reporting any technical faults to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Follow strict infection prevention and safety protocols before, during, and after every patient interaction.
• Stay flexible to support scanning duties at any of our medical centers as assigned, and take on additional tasks from the branch manager that fall within the scope of sonography services.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A diploma or higher in Diagnostic Radiography, Medical Imaging Sciences, or a related sonography qualification from a recognized institution.
• A valid, current license to practice from the relevant professional or regulatory body in your jurisdiction.
• At least three years of hands-on experience performing ultrasound exams in a clinical or hospital environment.
• Solid working knowledge of the professional standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements governing diagnostic imaging and patient care.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including the ability to use electronic medical records, imaging software, and standard office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to work calmly with patients who may be anxious or in discomfort.
