Role Overview
This cardiology role involves assessing and treating patients with heart-related conditions, drawing on specialist training in cardiology and a foundation in internal medicine. The physician’s clinical judgment and follow-up care help patients receive appropriate, ongoing cardiac treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients presenting with suspected or confirmed cardiovascular conditions.
- Review medical histories, symptoms, examination findings and available test results to guide clinical decisions.
- Develop and oversee suitable treatment and follow-up plans for cardiac patients.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust care in response to their clinical needs.
- Explain diagnoses, treatment options and follow-up recommendations clearly to patients.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and practise in line with professional and regulatory requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Cardiology.
- At least two years of relevant work experience.
- Registration with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- A valid private practice licence.
