Main Duties:
- Attending to antenatal mothers, reviewing reports and conducting safe deliveries.
- Undertaking clinical procedures and examinations
- Carrying out ward rounds with Senior Consultants
- Consulting on cases that the Senior House Officers may require guidance
- Overseeing the running of the department
- Assisting management in drawing up and implementation of policies and procedures for the department
- Advising and guiding management on procurement of equipment and supplies for the department
- Coaching and mentoring of Senior House Officers
- Supervising Senior House Officers and Elective Students
- Ensuring that Hospital policies and administrative regulations are well-known and understood by staff
- Liaising with HR & Talent Development to ensure proper staffing levels at all times
- Conducting CPD activities to ensure high standards of competency and efficiency in the department at all times
- Ensuring that patients are given utmost attention and care at all times
- Making follow-up on complaints and any concerns raised by patients
- Conducting surgeries; elective or emergencies.
Required Qualifications for the Position
- Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery
- Masters of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MMED)
- Registered with KMPDC
- ECOG, EmONC, ALSO
