Role Overview
This Senior People Partner role serves as the primary strategic advisor and transformation driver for a designated business unit, working directly with executive committee members and senior leaders to turn commercial strategy into workforce reality. Day to day, you will diagnose organizational needs, design talent and capability interventions, and guide leadership teams through agile adoption, culture shifts, and operational redesign—ensuring every people initiative directly fuels business growth and productivity. Your work matters because you bridge the gap between business ambition and human capability, making sure the organisation has the right skills, structures, and leadership to execute its boldest goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leadership to align workforce strategy, organization design, and culture interventions with commercial objectives, providing candid challenge and data-backed recommendations.
- Lead workforce planning, succession mapping, and leadership development to build a robust pipeline of current and future-ready talent across the portfolio.
- Drive organisation effectiveness by redesigning structures, embedding agile ways of working, and fostering high-performance team dynamics.
- Act as the main integrator between business units and the wider people function—orchestrating support from talent, reward, employee experience, digital HR, and safety teams to deliver seamless, cohesive solutions.
- Champion the adoption of flow-to-work principles and agile operating models, collaborating with transformation teams to increase organisational speed, flexibility, and collaboration.
- Leverage AI-enabled workforce analytics and predictive insights to anticipate skill gaps, identify risks, and inform strategic workforce decisions.
- Embed a behaviour-based safety culture by partnering with leaders to integrate safety, well-being, and psychological health into everyday leadership and operations.
- Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion by influencing executive decisions to create equitable talent outcomes and an inclusive workplace culture.
- Oversee risk, governance, and compliance within the people scope, ensuring all activities adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and enterprise frameworks.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a senior HR business partner or people partner within a large, complex organization—ideally in telecommunications, technology, or a similarly fast-paced industry.
- Track record of advising and influencing C-suite and senior leadership on strategic people matters, with strong commercial acumen.
- Deep expertise in workforce planning, organisational design, talent management, succession planning, and culture transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive agile transformation, including adoption of flow-to-work models and agile team structures.
- Hands-on experience using people analytics, AI tools, and workforce intelligence to shape decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and experience embedding inclusive talent processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills; ability to challenge constructively and build trust.
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field; master’s degree or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred.
