Senior Accountant

Role Overview

United Engineering Construction (UNEC) is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting activities for its construction operations in Dubai. The role combines accurate ledger management, timely reporting and close support, helping the finance team maintain reliable records and meet its compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions and keep financial records complete and current.
• Maintain the general ledger, review postings and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Use Epromis ERP to process and manage accounting and financial information.
• Work with colleagues across departments to gather information needed for reporting.
• Support monthly and annual closing activities, ensuring balances and documentation are ready.
• Assist with audit requests and help ensure accounting practices follow applicable requirements and company policies.
• Contribute to budgeting, financial controls and compliance activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Eight to twelve years of accounting experience in the UAE, including experience in a construction company.
• Practical proficiency with Epromis ERP and accounting systems.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and compliance.
• CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
• Applicants must currently be in the UAE and able to join immediately.
• Arabic nationality is preferred.
