Role Overview
As an Accountant, you will help keep the finance function running reliably by processing transactions, maintaining clear records, and checking that supporting documentation is complete. Your work will also contribute to reconciliations and reporting, helping the team maintain accurate financial information and meet regular closing deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and organise accounting transactions, ensuring entries are accurate and supported by appropriate documentation.
- Handle routine finance operations, including processing invoices and payments.
- Review financial documents for completeness and resolve discrepancies through the appropriate internal channels.
- Prepare account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding differences.
- Assist with periodic financial reports and the month-end close.
- Maintain orderly, accessible financial records in line with accounting procedures.
- Coordinate with colleagues across internal teams on finance-related requests and deadlines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous professional experience in an accounting role.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, transaction processing, and financial record management.
- Practical ability to prepare reconciliations and support financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
- Careful approach to numerical work, with strong attention to detail.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines.
