Senior Accountant

Alserkal Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with strong experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, and multi-entity accounting within a dynamic business environment.

The successful candidate will oversee core accounting functions across multiple entities, manage month-end closing activities, support budgeting and financial reporting, and contribute to group consolidation processes while working extensively with the Odoo ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and bank and intercompany reconciliations.

• Review the general ledger and reconcile sub-ledgers, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets.

• Ensure VAT accuracy and support tax compliance across multiple entities.

• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and annual budgets.

• Develop management reporting packs for senior leadership.

• Identify and implement process improvements within the Odoo ERP environment.

• Support group consolidation and maintain accurate financial records.

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a General Ledger or Senior Accountant role.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• CA, CPA, or ACCA professional certification.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT compliance.

• Proficiency with ERP systems; Odoo experience is a strong advantage.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.

• Experience working in a multi-entity or group accounting environment.
