Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Reporting to the Security Manager, the Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all security operations during assigned shifts, including guarding services, CCTV monitoring, access control, loss prevention, investigations, and emergency response activities. The role ensures effective implementation of security procedures, operational discipline, and compliance with established security and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities 

Security Operations Supervision

  • Supervise all guards, CCTV controllers, and loss prevention officers during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure full operational security coverage across all designated areas.
  • Monitor daily security deployment to ensure optimal manpower utilisation and operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular inspections and patrols to ensure adherence to security procedures and standards.

Incident Management & Emergency Reponse

  • Manage security incidents, investigations, and emergency response activities.
  • Coordinate timely response to alarms, emergencies, accidents, and security breaches.
  • Ensure all incidents are properly documented, investigated, and escalated where necessary.
  • Verify implementation of corrective actions arising from security incidents and identified operational gaps.

Access Control & Compliance Management

  • Enforce security SOPs, compliance requirements, and access control procedures.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted and high-risk operational areas.
  • Ensure proper implementation of visitor management, staff access control, and vehicle movement procedures.
  • Maintain discipline around operational compliance, accountability, and security governance.

Surveillance & Loss Prevention

  • Supervise CCTV monitoring activities to ensure effective surveillance coverage.
  • Monitor high-risk operational areas, including weighbridge, dispatch, storage, and production zones.
  • Identify suspicious activities, operational vulnerabilities, and potential loss risks.
  • Support investigations related to theft, fraud, pilferage, or operational irregularities.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Conduct shift briefings and allocate operational responsibilities to security personnel.
  • Ensure discipline, accountability, and high-performance standards within the security team.
  • Coach and guide security personnel on operational procedures, incident handling, and emergency response.
  • Monitor attendance, deployment accuracy, and staff conduct during assigned shifts.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare and submit daily security operational reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, patrols, inspections, and shift activities.
  • Coordinate with management and other departments on security-related matters.
  • Provide recommendations to improve operational security effectiveness and compliance.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial security operations.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in manufacturing or cement industry security operations is preferred.

  • Knowledge of access control systems and CCTV operations.
  • Understanding of compliance management and operational security procedures.
  • Good report writing and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and operational reporting capability.

  • Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.
