Sales Executive – Merchant Acquisition

Role Overview

This role focuses on growing a digital bank’s SME merchant base across the UAE by identifying prospective businesses, presenting relevant payment and digital banking services, and guiding merchants through onboarding. Alongside personal sales activity, you will help lead a sales team and keep acquisition efforts on track against conversion and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Find and qualify SME prospects, using local merchant connections and other lead-generation approaches.
• Present POS services, payment solutions, and digital banking products to business owners based on their needs.
• Manage merchant acquisition from initial contact through application, onboarding, and customer handover.
• Build lasting working relationships with merchants and prospective clients throughout the UAE.
• Plan sales activity to improve lead conversion and meet assigned acquisition targets.
• Track sales progress and address gaps that may affect individual or team results.
• Support and guide sales team members in their day-to-day work and target delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least five years of sales experience in the UAE, including two or more years in a team leadership role.
• Relevant experience in merchant acquisition, SME onboarding, POS services, payment solutions, or FinTech.
• A record of acquiring SME merchants and supporting customers through onboarding.
• An established network of UAE merchants or business owners.
• Ability to meet sales targets, improve conversion, and support team performance.
• Strong understanding of merchant acquisition, POS systems, payment services, and digital financial products.
• A valid UAE visa is preferred.
