Role Overview
You will be the commercial bridge between a specialist cleaning equipment supplier and hospitality clients who depend on reliable, hygienic operations. Day to day, you will chase fresh leads, run product demonstrations, prepare precise quotes, and nurture long-term accounts across phone, email, in-person visits, and messaging platforms. Your efforts directly determine revenue growth and help the company maintain a reputation as a trusted partner for hotels, restaurants, and catering businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively hunt for new business within the hospitality sector by researching venues, compiling prospect lists, and making targeted cold calls to decision-makers.
- Arrange and conduct client meetings, either solo or with a senior sales lead, presenting product ranges and tailored solutions that address each customer's operational challenges.
- Build a robust sales pipeline by maintaining accurate records of all prospects, conversations, and follow-up actions in the company's CRM system.
- Prepare detailed and error-free quotations that clearly specify product models, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms, then track each quote through to closure.
- Respond promptly to inbound enquiries from multiple channels, including phone calls, email, walk-in visitors, WhatsApp, and social media, providing clear guidance to support buying decisions.
- Follow up with customers after delivery or repair work to confirm satisfaction, resolve complaints, and identify opportunities for repeat or upgraded sales.
- Coordinate with internal teams on invoicing, stock availability, and delivery scheduling to ensure orders are fulfilled without delays.
- Produce weekly sales activity reports, summarising quotes issued, conversion rates, and client feedback for management review.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least two years of proven sales experience, preferably selling equipment, consumables, or services to hospitality or facility management clients.
- Demonstrated ability to meet individual sales targets and contribute to team revenue goals through disciplined prospecting and follow-up.
- Strong command of CRM software for pipeline tracking, plus solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reports, correspondence, and data management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior buyers, procurement staff, and operational managers.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage a busy schedule of client visits, administrative tasks, and quotations without missing deadlines.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with marketing, logistics, and technical support colleagues.
- Willingness to learn about cleaning equipment specifications, maintenance requirements, and industry trends, with prior product knowledge considered an advantage.
