Sales Assistant

Role Overview

You will handle day‑to‑day client interactions, process sales, and support promotional activities while keeping showroom displays and records in order. Your work directly contributes to revenue targets and long‑term business development within the fast‑moving consumer goods sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally to maintain a positive brand image.
• Process purchase orders, generate accurate quotations, and ensure timely follow‑up until delivery.
• Support sales campaigns and promotional events by preparing materials, assisting on‑site, and tracking results.
• Maintain and update customer records, prepare daily sales reports, and support collections as needed.
• Conduct regular market visits to gather insights on competitor activity and customer preferences.
• Assist in product merchandising and keep showroom displays clean, organised, and aligned with brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the team on business development initiatives and any other assigned tasks to meet departmental goals.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a related business qualification.
• At least one year of sales experience; exposure to the FMCG industry is a strong advantage.
• Proven customer service and product‑selling skills with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including negotiation and relationship management abilities.
• Solid time management and problem‑solving skills; able to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Computer literate (MS Office) and comfortable using CRM or order‑management systems.
• High integrity, professionalism, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
