Role Overview
This position blends field-based business development with digital marketing execution, focusing on introducing products and services to new audiences across residential areas, institutions, and professional networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for building trust with prospective clients through face-to-face meetings and online engagement, while also tracking the effectiveness of marketing efforts to inform future strategy. By maintaining a steady pipeline of leads and delivering consistent after-sales support, this role plays a key part in meeting revenue targets and strengthening the organisation’s local reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled visits to schools, corporate offices, housing estates, and community hubs to present offerings, answer questions, and secure new business.
- Manage an active prospect pipeline, recording every interaction, following up on inquiries, and converting qualified leads into paying customers.
- Plan and execute digital campaigns on social media, email, and company website channels, tailoring content to the target audience and monitoring engagement metrics.
- Participate in relevant online discussion groups and forums to increase brand visibility and identify potential buyers; nurture these contacts into long-term accounts.
- Organise and attend local promotional events such as product demonstrations, roadshows, and trade exhibitions to create direct opportunities for sales.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, addressing concerns, providing prompt updates, and recommending products that align with their changing needs.
- Document weekly and monthly results, including revenue generated, campaign performance, conversion rates, and client feedback, to support data-driven improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing activity with sales objectives, ensuring consistent messaging and accurate reporting across all channels.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales management, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a sales, business development, or marketing role, with a demonstrable record of meeting quotas.
- Proven ability to work independently in the field, including planning travel routes, managing time effectively, and adjusting pitches to different audiences.
- Hands-on experience with social media management, email marketing platforms, and basic CRM tools to track leads and customer interactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver persuasive presentations and negotiate terms confidently.
- Comfortable with data reporting, using spreadsheets or dashboards to document sales activity and measure campaign ROI.
- Customer-centric mindset with the resilience to handle objections, rejection, and competing priorities without losing motivation.
- High level of initiative and organisational discipline, capable of spotting new market opportunities and acting on them without direct supervision.
