The Research & Innovations Officer serves as the organisation’s internal engine for growth, turning market signals into actionable product and service concepts. Day to day, this role involves scanning the automotive and mobility landscape, studying competitor behaviour, and building evidence-based business cases that shape strategic decisions. By maintaining a steady flow of fresh intelligence and creative ideas, the officer ensures the company stays aligned with client needs and responsive to industry shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and run primary and secondary research studies covering customer behaviour, competitor strategies, and new mobility technologies.
- Convert complex market data into concise intelligence briefs that highlight emerging risks, opportunities, and recommended responses.
- Work alongside product and service teams to develop new concepts, validate assumptions, and refine value propositions before launch.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to automotive services and mobility solutions.
- Engage with clients, partners, and internal teams to capture on-the-ground insights and test the viability of proposed innovations.
- Prepare detailed business cases that include market sizing, financial reasoning, and implementation roadmaps for new initiatives.
- Encourage a culture of creativity by facilitating ideation workshops, pilot projects, and cross-functional brainstorming sessions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, statistics, or a related discipline.
- At least four years of hands-on experience in market research, market analysis, product development, or innovation management.
- Prior exposure to the mobility, transport, or automotive industry is strongly preferred, including familiarity with its technologies, trends, and market dynamics.
- Strong command of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including survey design, data sampling, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools, as well as business intelligence, reporting, and presentation platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to generate fresh ideas, evaluate their commercial potential, and convert them into structured recommendations.
- Excellent report-writing and presentation skills, with experience building clear, persuasive business cases for senior decision-makers.
